Good Grief was made in response to the outcome of the 2016 election. The text “Good Grief” is a quiet exasperation; an expression of my disappointment, frustration, and shame. The stripes of the United States flag, used for the background of the piece, are torn apart, shifted, and pieced back together to represent the mess this election has made of the nation and the chasm that was created within it.
